The Artist's Biography
Kevin Parham was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He began painting at age sixteen, after seeing the works of Norman Rockwell, Monet and Manet. He then attended Charleston Southern University where the work of Thomas Kinkade dramatically affected his life. Kinkade became his indirect mentor, and so began the works of Kevin Parham. Turning to oil paints in college, Kevin began painting the wonderfull place around him. Charleston, South Carolina, shaped the imagination that pushed him into the world in which he paints. Glorious landscapes, stunning lights and everyday life compel Kevin to create the peace and warmth that life can offer. He now lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with his wife Amy and continues to warm the imagination of others. His work has been displayed in the Spoletto Festival in Charleston, as well as in art shows and coffee houses in which people can enjoy this growing painters work.
