"Christmas At Grandmother's"
Thomas Kinkade has always been an indirect mentor of mine, just as Norman Rockwell was to him. I've spent countless hours gazing at the lives and light within his paintings, trying to imagine myself there and in the midst of the world he creates. Kinkade's Christmas paintings have been my favorites, but his prints of San Francisco rank right up there, which actually had an influence as to where our honeymoon was spent. "Christmas At Grandmother's" was my attempt to create the spirit of the season, and is actually the residence of my college roomate's grandmother.
